Rime Climb review: alternate ice picks on a Game Farm frozen climb
Rime Climb is the cold room beside the pens. We checked it on 5 November 2026 as a Game Farm session that still runs in the browser, not as a store listing with invented numbers.
The Game Farm climb in one breath
A fisher hangs on a frozen waterfall with an ice pick in each hand. Tap the left half of the screen for a left strike, the right half for a right strike. Alternate and you rise; double the same side and you slip. Fish hide in side pockets; trophy trout sit farther out. Melt holds disappear on a timer. Icicles fall. That is the loop we saw.
Controls from the build, not from memory
Tap or click left or right half, or use arrows / A-D; each side is one pick strike. On our machine the halves were large enough for a thumb. Keyboard arrows and A/D mirrored the same idea. We did not invent a gamepad mapping that the screen never showed.
Rhythm first, greed second
Combo grows when you keep alternating. Perfect grabs sit in a narrow window on each hold. The side pockets pay more when you stretch for them; that stretch is also how you miss and fall into the ice hole. Aurora Glow doubles pickup value for a few seconds; Melt Rush speeds the disappearing holds; Blizzard shoves you sideways. We treated each banner as a rule change.
The first fail on our check was a melt hold that left while we reached for a fish. The camera made the drop obvious. Fairness held.
Why it sits second on the Game Farm shortlist
Loop clarity is strong once the alternate rule clicks, but it takes longer than Straw Ball’s five-second read. The theme is ice fishing, not farm pens, so fit to the silo is colder by design. That is a feature of the ranking, not a bug in the build.
Empty store fields
No rating, download count, size or version appears on a store card for this session, because there is no store card in our check. We print “not published” rather than a decorative number. The play link stays on this silo.
